HinduismHinduism’s roots stretch back further than recorded data and is considered the world’s oldest extant religion. Scholars believe Hinduism existed as early as 10,000 B.C., with the earliest of the Hindu scriptures “The Rig Veda” being composed well before 6500 B.C. Hinduism is the world’s 3rd largest religion with over 1 billion followers throughout many countries such as: India, Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, USA, UK. Hinduism is considered one of the more open-minded religions towards other religions, having no creeds or confessions. Their beliefs vary greatly, but consist of elemental ideas such as reincarnation, the law of cause and effect, the authority of the Vedas (sacred Indian texts) and Brahmans (priests), and the desire for liberation from the cycle of births and deaths4 Purposes of Life
